What is a RespOrg- It stands for Responsible Organization. By being one, we have the ability to manage toll-free numbers for our customers for one, but most importantly, it allows us to have our customer's number set up to route on multiple long-distance carriers.

What does that mean for our customers? As a RespOrg we can create "routing plans" that include multiple carriers and calls will route on one of those companies based on the predetermined plan. The routing plan is created based on the customer's unique calling patterns and as such the carrier that offers the least cost from the particular phone number wins the call.

The final result will be a competitive rate for the DIPVTEL customer based on the least cost routing that is created and loaded in the toll-free routing system called SOMOS.

What other benefits are there? If there is an issue somewhere in the US and a customer cannot make a call to a toll-free number, by being a RespOrg, we can immediately change the carrier for that particular phone number and within minutes the call will be processed successfully.
